Collection of books designed by the 20th century typographer and designer, Bruce Rogers

The Oxford Lectern Bible

One of the most sought after volumes designed by Bruce Rogers is the 1935 Holy Bible, often referred to as the "Oxford Lectern Bible."  It was printed as a 2-volume folio edition in 19-pt. Centaur type on hand-made paper.  In the Saturday Review of Literature, XII, October 19, 1935, Carl P. Rollins called it "the supreme work of America's greatest designer of printing."Bruce Rogers Lectern BibleExterior of Bruce Rogers Lectern Bible
