The Bruce Rogers Collection

Collection of books designed by the 20th century typographer and designer, Bruce Rogers

The Banquet of Plato

Percy Bysshe Shelley's translation of The Banquet of Plato was printed in Bruce Rogers' Montaigne typeface in 1908.  This was another of the designs which Rogers considered to be his most successful.  It contains no illustrations, and relies on the fine typography and the hand-made paper for its beauty.  Our copy is number 385 of a limited run of 440.
