About Beverly Pepper

Beverly Pepper (1922-2020) is a world-renowned sculptor. Trained originally as a painter, she then studied design and photography at the Art Students League in Brooklyn, NY and the Académie de la Grande Chaumière in Paris. After switching gears to sculpture, she created works from bronze, cast iron, wood, clay, steel, grass, sand, stone, and more. She is known for her site-specific works and Land Art pieces that embed industrial metals and other materials into the natural environment. Pepper has received many awards for her astonishing works and has been featured in exhibitions across the globe.
