Patrick Dougherty (b. 1945) is a sculptural artist best known for his work with sticks and tree saplings. Born in Oklahoma and raised in North Carolina, Dougherty has studied English, art history, and sculpture at the University of North Carolina and Hospital and Health Administration at the University of Iowa. His 300+ works, rooted in nature and drawing from carpentry techniques, can be found across the globe and have granted Dougherty many awards and fellowships.
