New for 2023 Davidson College will be expanding access to The New York Times to all current faculty, students, and staff through a site license available beginning December 21, 2022. This offer comes to us through Center for Research Libraries and it is thanks to our membership with CRL that we are able to join the offer.

If you would like to take advantage of the free Davidson College access, but add the premium apps at an additional cost to you, contact the NYT.

All new and existing subscribers who want to take advantage of the Davidson College site license should visit accessnyt.com to obtain your academic pass. NOTE: If using VPN, you must disconnect from VPN before access the site to obtain an academic pass.
4. To activate your account, you will need to identify yourself as a student or faculty/staff member. STUDENTS will need to indicate your expected graduation year.

6. Once you obtain an academic pass, click "Get Started" to personalize your account, or log into nytimes.com from any location on any web enabled device and sign-in with your newly created credentials.
7. You will now be able to enjoy NYTimes.com from any location, on any web enabled device, by just logging into NYTimes.com

Existing registered subscribers with ACTIVE PAID subscriptions who would like to cancel their subscription and use only Davidson’s Site License will need to cancel their personal subscription in order to take advantage of the school’s program.
Subscribers will need to call 1- 800-698-4637. Once the subscription is canceled, they can immediately visit accessnyt.com, type in the school’s name and follow the instructions based on their location.
