Flipster is a database of digital magazines and news sources accessible on your desktop or mobile device to read, browse or search the selection of magazines available. Davidson currently subscribes to six titles:
Yes, back issues are available!
To access back issues in your desktop or mobile web browser, open the most recent issue of a magazine and scroll down to see all available issues.
To access back issues in the mobile app, tap on the magazine you are interested in, scroll down to browse all available back issues. (Available now in iOS, coming soon in Android).
Access to these titles is easily done through your desktop/laptop computer, tablet, or phone.
Computer: Click on the Flipster- Digital Magazines link on the library A-Z Database list to access the available magazines. You can click on a magazine to view it within your browser.
Tablet or phone using the Flipster app:
Download the app from the iTunes store or Google Play store for Android.
You do not need to register for an EBSCO account to use Flipster but creating an account and signing in at the top right of the database window will save your searches and help you keep track of articles.
Yes, printing is available when reading a magazine on a computer, but not from a mobile device or the iPad app. The print button is located at the top of the right hand menu when viewing a magazine on a computer. The available print options are determined by the publisher. You may be able to print a single page, a range, or none at all.
