Need access to a library resource while off-campus?  No problem!  As long as you have internet access, you will be able to access most of our electronic resources. 

The Library’s databases, e-books, e-journals, streaming services, and online finding aids are available off-campus using your Davidson username and password. Access these through the library catalog, the A-Z list of research tools, and the Archives and Special Collections catalogs.

Articles and book chapters can be made available electronically through interlibrary loan. Please note that at this time we can receive only electronic items through interlibrary loan and the turn-around time for access to digitized materials may be longer than normal.

Access to Library Spaces & Equipment

• The E. H. Little Library is open during the semester 24/7. CatCard swipe will be required at all times as the library is currently closed to the general public.
• Self-service check-out is available at the front desk.
• The Information Desk will not be physically staffed on a regular basis, but library staff and student employees will be available through the library's virtual support center:

    • Request a link to a Zoom room to talk virtually to the person on-call at the desk

    • Get Tech help anytime by searching our Knowledge Base.
• Computers, printers, scanners, copiers, and laptop checkout will continue to be available.
  • Please clean all computing devices before and after use (sanitizing wipes available at the Information Desk)
• Select study carrels can be used by anyone as needed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Carrels will not be available for long-term use. For long-term storage of materials, please request an assigned locker in the library through the Locker request form.
• To reserve one of the Library's study rooms, visit this link. 
• USB superdrives (external DVD players) are available for self-check-out and are in the locker at the Information Desk.
