Open Access Support

The Davidson College library supports a variety of open access projects and encourages affiliated researchers and authors to publish open access when applicable. The library has entered into licensing agreements with several publishers that allow our subscription costs to go towards open access publishing through Article Process Cost (APCs) funding.

American Prison Newspapers 1800-2000: Voices from the Inside
This collection presents newspapers published in U.S. prisons with special attention to women's-only institutions. Some publications were produced with the sanction of institutional authorities; others were produced underground.
