Leganto: Reading Lists

This guide includes an introductory walkthrough of Leganto, a reading list tool that leverages the wide-ranging availability of resources to increase accessibility and affordability of course resources!

Create a Reading List

1. Click on your new activity to create your course and reading list in Leganto.

  • When you click on the activity for the first time, Leganto will ask you if you want to create a new list or copy an existing list. To create your reading list, select Create new list.

2. Leganto will automatically populate the reading list title with the course number and semester. Feel free to add a more descriptive title and a description. Click Next to move to the next page.

3. You will have the option to choose to create sections. You can organize your list two ways:

  • Default: start with one section and add others as needed.
  • Weeks: Adds a section for each week. Use this if you plan to organize your materials by week.

If you decide to choose "Default," you may find it easier to create all of your sections before adding resources. The best part is, if you decide you want to change the organization of your list, it is easy to drag and drop sections and resources!

4. Click Create list to create your list.
