ATTENTION! - Copyright Declaration

When uploading a file to a reading list, Leganto sets the copyright declaration to "No declaration" by default.

The uploaded file will not be visible to your students until you have selected one of the other listed options that affirms that you have the appropriate permissions to use the resource.

  • I have determined this use is Fair Use for educational purposes (under Section 107 of the Copyright Act)
  • I do not hold copyright but have obtained written permission/copyright clearance to use this material

Add/Upload Items Manually

In addition to adding resources from the library's collections, you may want to upload resources to your reading list. Leganto currently provides to options for adding/uploading resources manually:

  • Upload a File (recommended): Allows you to select and upload a file to your reading list. Leganto will attempt to pull metadata from the file to create the citation for you.
  • Blank Form: Allows you to create a new citation from scratch by entering the appropriate metadata and uploading a file.

1. Select Upload a File to add a new resource.

2. Either drag the file from your computer or click the box to browse your computer for a file.

2. Leganto will attempt to extract metadata from the uploaded file to complete the citation. You can add additional information as needed before selecting the appropriate section and clicking Add to create the citation.
