Includes Oscar, Emmy and Peabody award winning documentaries, interviews, instructional and vocational training videos, historical speeches and newsreels.
Films on Demand offers 1000+ titles that include audio description, defined as "the verbal depiction of key visual elements in media and live productions." Audio descriptions provide context that isn't obvious from only hearing dialogue and music. To find titles that include this, do an advanced search with the filter "Only show videos with audio description."
Academic Video Online offers more than 66,000 titles spanning the widest range of subject areas including anthropology, business, counseling, film, health, history, music, and more.
Alexander Street wants the video content on its platform to be accessible to all users. Captions are available for all videos with transcripts, which is approximately 95% of all videos on the platform. Audio descriptions are not widely available for videos found on the Alexander Street Video Platform but are available for a select number of titles.

Kanopy streaming service offers movies, documentaries, foreign films, classic, and Independent films. Davidson College students, faculty, and staff have unmediated access to certain collections within the Kanopy service.
A one-year license is purchased upon the 4th view of a title for 30 seconds or longer, this license is $135. For a list of titles already licensed by Davidson, please see the Kanopy tab within the Video Research Guide. For mediated collections, faculty can request immediate purchase of required films for a course on the Kanopy platform.
