This guide provides tips, tools, and techniques for finding videos, creating clips and playlists, and linking to videos.
When linking video content from a library database, it is important to use a Permalink or "share" link rather than the URL in the address bar. There are multiple ways to access the permalink in a database, each platform has a slightly different look and access to the links.
A special note regarding Kanopy: please refer to the Kanopy tab for more information on the prices for titles and how faculty can request a title for required course viewing.
For specific questions on linking or a regarding our video collections, please contact Kelly Denzer at kedenzer@davidson.edu.
Our collection contains many DVD's that can be checked out for viewing. They are located on the second floor and the library has 2 small group study rooms on the ground floor with a DVD player.

Start your search for videos here! The library catalog lists most of our DVD and streaming video titles.
You can also find videos that may be available through interlibrary loan; just change the drop-down menu to "Libraries Worldwide."
The contents of these platforms are not available through our catalog search, but you can use the search bar within each platform to see if films are available for licensing. You can submit requests within the platform to gain access, or email reserves@davidson.edu.
