Illumination: Duke Energy
This site highlights the current employees, archives, and technology of the company (then known as Duke Power) that built Cowans Ford Dam, resulting in the creation of Lake Norman.
Digital NC Digital NC is a collaborative digitization project based out of UNC Chapel Hill. The site hosts thousands of materials from cultural institutions across North Carolina. You can search their materials by county if you select the "Counties" tab along the main page. You can also search by keyword, location, time, and subject by selecting one of the six categories under the "Browse" tab on the main page.
