The Davidson Monthly was first published in March of 1870 and it was a magazine created by Davidson students. In the 1880s, it changed its name to The Davidson College Magazine and, again in the 1920’s to The Chameleon. Subtitled “A Magazine Devoted to Science, Literature and Art,” The Davidson Monthly reported on local events, published the important speeches and resolutions of the Eumenean and Philanthropic literary societies, and ran editorials and other fillers, but the focus of the magazine was poetry, prose, and essays written by Davidson students and alumni.

These are records of the College that have been digitized such as minutes, reports and other documents.

The yearbooks are digitized from the first issue in 1895.

The catalogues are digitized beginning in 1842. The catalogues include lists of courses and requirements, plus faculty members and trustees. The earliest catalogues list students as well.

The Davidson Journal was first published in the spring of 1987 at the College's sesquicentennial celebration alongside the Davidson Update (which was a spin-off of the Alumni Journal). It merged with the Davidson Update after the fourth issue in the fall of 1989.

This documentary film was created to show an overview of the many ways that African-Americans have shaped Davidson College from its beginnings to the present day. It is divided into four parts.
