November, 1923. DAPHNIS & CHLOE. Translated out of the Greek of Longus by Geo. Thornley.  Printed in black and green.  14pt Caslon O.F. type. 108 pp. 10 in. s 7 ½ in. 450 numbered copies on Van Gelder paper.  Bound in blue Michallet boards, linen backs.  Price 18s, 6d.

In January, 1924, the Press was taken over by Robert Gibbings, then illustrating The Lives of Gallant Ladies, from Harold Taylor, the founder who was compelled to give up on account of ill health.  Owing to this illness, from which he died soon after, it was impossible to obtain as much or as accurate information as was desired concerning the early publications of the Press, but is is believed that the forgoing particulars are correct.
