Library Locations

First floor:

Ground floor/basement:

  • Study rooms (some are first-come, first-served. Some are reservable)
  • Books - both oversize and main stacks
  • Microfilm readers (a fancy machine for viewing old newspapers and journals)
  • Bound periodicals (most of our journal articles are accessible online, but the ones we still have in print live here)
  • Noise level: this is the quietest floor of the library, and those who study down here appreciate a noise-free environment

Second floor:

  • Davidsoniana Room and Rare Book Room
  • Books - main stacks and reference
  • Government documents
  • The Nest
  • Noise level: Somewhere in-between first floor and basement levels, and quiet conversations are the norm

De-Stressing at the Library

The Nest, located on the library's second floor, is a non-academic space for relaxation. Lodged in the college's largest study-space, The Nest provides students a change to relax and recharge. The Nest offers beanbag chairs, hammock-chairs, and calming games.

The Art Cart, located on the library's first floor, provides free arts-and-crafts supplies.

For more ways to de-stress, contact the Office for Student Health and Well-Being. Students can make free appointments with mental-health advisors.

Peer Tutoring

The Center for Teaching and Learning, located on the library's first floor, offers peer tutoring, language support, and teaching assistance. Peer tutoring is offered in the following areas:

The CTL can also help students enhance their productivity, utilizing individualized learning styles.
