Course reserve requests for materials already in our collection should be directed to Jason Radcliffe, jaradcliffe@davidson.edu. Search for the resources in the catalog and send the permalinks to Jason before the semester begins. If they are physical resources, we will have space set aside in the Lilly Gallery of Chambers for students to check out reserves on a 3-hour basis.
The library offers course resource support to provide your students access to materials they need for their courses. The library will work with you to make course materials available via Leganto/Moodle, providing electronic access wherever possible for your students.
In some cases, availability or copyright restrictions may not permit us to place electronic resources in Leganto or Moodle. In those cases, we are happy to assist you with finding alternatives.

The library is committed to providing affordable and equitable access to resources for students. Unfortunately, many of the major textbook publishers including Pearson, Cengage, McGraw Hill, Houghton, and others, do not provide e-textbook purchasing options for libraries. Instead, they require that students purchase their textbooks through the college bookstore or from another vendor. There are other options available in place of traditional textbooks including book chapters (to a limited extent), adopting alternate texts already owned by the library, and adopting Open Access resources (OA) or Open Education Resources (OER). If you have questions regarding alternate texts, please email library@davidson.edu.
