The library catalog searches across various source types. It is especially helpful for identifying items that are in our physical collection.

Requesting Items from our Collection

When you find an item from our physical collection in the Davidson College Library Search, it will typically indicate that it is in "Remote Storage Annex." To request this item:

Sign into your library account under the 'Availability Section'
After signing in, select 'Physical Item Request' under the 'Availability' section, to receive a physical copy of the item.
When you are ready to submit your request, click on the 'Send Request' button.
You will receive an email notification when your item is ready for pickup.
Visit the Information Desk in the Lilly Family Gallery to check out the item you requested.

Materials requested made M-Fr before noon will arrive the same afternoon; materials requested after noon M-Th will arrive the next morning. Requests made after 12 on Fr or Saturday or Sunday will arrive the following Monday.
