Artist Books

The Rare Book Room includes a collection of Artist Books, dating from the late 1920s to the present. All are limited editions; some are one-of-a kind, and all are beautiful. Here are some of the titles in our collection.

Eleanor Wilner

Eleanor Wilner is a poet and a translator.  Her work has appeared in over thirty anthologies, including Best American Poetry 1990 and The Norton Anthology of Poetry (Fourth Edition).Wilner has been the recipient of numerous awards, including fellowships from the MacArthur Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts, the Juniper Prize, and two Pushcart Prizes.

Wilner  was formerly the editor of The American Poetry Review and has taught poetry at institutions such as the University of Chicago, Northwestern University, Smith College, and Warren Wilson College.

"Forty-five numbered copies of this book, ten artist's proofs and six poet's copies numbered I-VI, were printed during the spring and summer of 1998. The lithographs were hand-pulled by Timothy P. Sheesley.
