Artist Books

The Rare Book Room includes a collection of Artist Books, dating from the late 1920s to the present. All are limited editions; some are one-of-a kind, and all are beautiful. Here are some of the titles in our collection.

Andrew Rippeon

Andrew Rippeon is a professor of English and Writing at Davidson.   He  is also a poet and a letterpress printer, and founded the Davidson College Letterpress Lab.

"Printed letterpress by Andrew  Rippeon, from metal type, polymer plates, and magnesium die, May 27-31, 2019. Completed on the bicentennial of the poet's birth."
Double-sided continuous sheet made from seven sheets attached at edges and folded accordion style. Attached at back inside paper cover. Fully extended, the length of the sheet is 185 cm.
