Jesús Moreles (1950-2015) is best known for his large-scale abstract works in granite. After graduating from the University of North Texas, Denton, he built his own studio in Rockport, Texas, and worked alongside his family. In 2008, he was awarded the National Medal of Arts. Over 2,000 of his sculptures can now be found internationally.
