A selection of books and periodicals primarily focused on topics related to the Presbyterian Church in the southern United States during the nineteenth century. Special attention is given to resources discussing the issue of race.

Books in the Collection

Materials listed on this page are primarily published resources about the Presbyterian Church in the southern United States. The page is divided into three main sections: "The Presbyterian Church in North Carolina," "The Presbyterian Church in the United States," and "Bound Church Records." Within those sections, materials are divided topically. 

Serials, Periodicals, and Magazines in the Collection

This section lists 19th century Presbyterian materials that were published periodically (either weekly, monthly, annually, etc.). The page is divided into three categories: "The Southern Presbyterian Review," "The Missionary and Foreign Missionary," and "Various Periodicals and Serials." The first two categories are names of Presbyterian periodicals.
